Ethical Current Event
As we look back on the last month, we are plagued with one image: the shootings in Washington. How can this happen over and over and the person get away every time unseen in the daylight? Then we realize we live in a sin infested world, and should we really be surprised by this? This paper will explore my ideas, beliefs, and look at what the Bible has to say on this subject. As last week came to a close, another issue plagued the news again, another shooting has occurred. We watched as they closed down the interstates and elaborate freeways of Washington in search of any leads on a white van. I believe this man has nothing to prove other than he can do it. This is clearly a sin and a crime, and this must be stopped. This crime is not a crime against a certain minority or a random religion, but a crime against humanity. CNN quotes, “In the absence of a motive, each can become a focus for conjecture as the public tries to understand the apparently random shootings in the suburbs surrounding the capital.” This proposes a very large problem, and that is without a motive, everyone is in danger, and no one is safe. I believe that this is a sin, and with sin comes consequences. Exodus 20:13 says
