Self Reflection

A detailed Summary of Self Reflection

As I walked into my friend's room, I unraveled many things about his personality. His room consisted of only a bed, an alarm clock, a chiffonier, a closet, a lamp, and a small table with a chair. The room was well organized. He told me that the table was for doing his homework. Everything else was pretty much self-explanatory.

As I sifted around his room, I realized what kind of personality my friend had. Judging from the things that were in the room, I knew that he was a quiet, neat, punctual, and organized person. Then the thought hit me! My room was just like his, except everything was in a different place from his, and that it lacked a table and a chair. But that doesn't make any difference. It was the objects that he had inside his room. I had the same things he did, and in some ways, we had the same characteristic traits. Then I thought, "I don't want to be like this!" I will have to redesign my room to be more lively, entertaining, and less dull.

First, I will start by getting rid of the 1950s British styled chiffonier. It is a very dull piece of furniture. Over the past ten years, it has lost its luster and glossy surface, much like me. As I grew older, I attracted less and less attention. I have fewer

Speaking of games, I wouldn't mind if my room had a system. I never had a game system in my whole life, sans the GameBoy. People would be talking about all the games they played and I would feel green with envy. I figure that the more subjects I can talk about, the less of a social outcast I would be. The game system should be the Playstation 2, just because it is the state of the art machine, and it has many games. To compliment it would be a 27" Sony WEGA television. Nothing but the best should be in my own little sanctuary. I never like to settle for second rate. It should be the most expensive, or the most up to date, or both when it comes to technology for me. I love electronics and all sorts of gizmos.

To play my games, I will need a well-lit room. I'll also need that to read my favorite magazines. I don't like being in the dark (except when I'm sleeping). It gives me the sense of being lonely. I hate that and I believe that no one should feel that way. A nice halogen lamp would be the right solution to that problem for me. It has the brightness of a car's headlight. That will really brighten up my room; unlike the incandescent 55-watt light bulb that my lamp uses. Lights also make
