Self Reflection
As I walked into my friend’s room, I unraveled many things about his personality. His room consisted of only a bed, an alarm clock, a chiffonier, a closet, a lamp, and a small table with a chair. The room was well organized. He told me that the table was for doing his homework. Everything else was pretty much self-explanatory.As I sifted around his room, I realized what kind of personality my friend had. Judging from the things that were in the room, I knew that he was a quiet, neat, punctual, and organized person. Then the thought hit me! My room was just like his, except everything was in a different place from his, and that it lacked a table and a chair. But that doesn’t make any difference. It was the objects that he had inside his room. I had the same things he did, and in some ways, we had the same characteristic traits. Then I thought, “I don’t want to be like this!” I will have to redesign my room to be more lively, entertaining, and less dull. First, I will start by getting rid of the 1950s British styled chiffonier. It is a very dull piece of furniture. Over the past ten years, it has lost its luster and glossy surface, much like me.
