When I was in school, I wanted to go to college to become a lawyer, but things do not always work out the way that you want them to. Money is one of the largest reasons that people cannot fulfill their dreams. Another reason is, as the old saying goes, "when you are young and dumb," and again an old saying that applies is "that hind sight is worth nothing." I cannot change the past, but maybe, I can change the future.
I went to college a few years back.. I took a few classes here and a couple of classes there, then I got a job and stopped taking classes altogether. The company that I worked for moved out of the area. This to me is a minus and a plus. Many jobs were lost, which is the minus. When this door closed on me not having a job, another door opened. I have had the opportunity to beco
me a full time student, and this is the plus. True I am not fulfilling my teenage dream of becoming a lawyer, but I am getting a degree in Administrative Support.
I know that I did all of this when I was working, but I did not have to bring any work home with me, as I do have to bring home work with me as a full time student, trying to get it done on time, and to study for tests, exams, and such. I do know that all of this has broadened my horizons.
For me to come to college, as a full time student was a bit hard, because when you think of college, one tends to think of teenagers just out of high school.
