One of the most important issues in the world is the controversy surrounding abortion. Do you think abortion is right? Many people have been asking themselves this same question for years now. Abortion has been a heated argument amongst citizens, political activists, and religions all across the world. Those who are against abortion (pro-life), argue that abortion is wrong because it kills human life. On the other hand we have people who favor abortion (pro-choice). They believe women are able to do as they wish with their bodies. About forty percent of Americans believe that abortion should be legal. Forty percent believe abortion should be banned except when the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother or is the result of a rape (Cozic, Petriken 97). Although abortion is considered to be a women right, it should be illegal because it is murder, has many side effects, and there are other alternatives.
