Possessing certain key attitudes and values are crucial to the Human Services field. Examples of these traits I possess are self-awareness, the capacity to ask for help and offer feedback, and I am open minded, skeptical and reject stereotypes.

I am a worthwhile, unique person. I treat others the way I want to be treated. In high school I was my own person, the way I presented myself in dress, mannerisms, and the way I carried myself. I am confident, outgoing, enthusiastic, and personable.

I like to be able to do what I am supposed to do by myself. Although if I need help, I have the capacity to ask for help. I will give my opinion if I feel it is needed or asked for. At times I can be a little strong-minded in my ways but the world is all about change. At the bank where I work, new rules and procedures are being implemented at all times, it is difficult to remember everything. When this happens I would either call our Help Desk or ask someone within the office.

In the Human Service's field one should be endowed with basic skills and I am endowed with: data gathering, interviewing, and researching, relationship building, and implementing action plans.

I would like graduate with honors from North Central State College in a couple of years with a degree in Human Services. With having some these skills already acquired and working on others I hope to be a great person in this field at the end of my college career. Then also continuing my education at a four year college and receiving my degree in Addictions will also help me in my life.

I do not know much about abnormal growth and development. With luck sometime in my academic career I hope to take a class on abnormal psychology and growth.

I hope to learn from classes about human growth and development. I am not even sure what some of these classes would be about. I hope to learn about people and myself in my college career. Also, in my practicums I would like to learn more about different people and their needs.

I need help in basic knowledge areas. Hopefully with taking certain classes I will be able to learn about abnormal growth and development, the dynamics of groups and organizations, and human growth and development.

My first impression of people is usually right on, I can read others well. I am open minded, skeptical, and I reject stereotypes. I enjoy meeting all kinds of people; I will go out of my way to meet new people. I enjoy coming to class
