The Story of the Flood’s

What is the real story behind "The Epic of Gilgamesh," and The Book of Genesis?

Do we really know the events that take place in these two stories? Every culture has its

own way of expressing their beliefs and sometimes they just might even base their own

ways of life and history by telling or writing myths, such as "The Epic of Gilgamesh" and

The Book of Genesis. The Mesopotamian’s and the Hebrew’s were believed to be very

remarkable people who had written the story of the flood in each of these stories.

Both stories happened to be very alike, they each explain their many similarities

and differences. In "The Epic of Gilgamesh," the people of the world believed in many

gods, where as in Genesis they believed in only one. In "Noah’s Ark," God had sent the

flood because the people showed a sign of disrespectful behavior, which God did not
