Senate

My name is _______, and I have decided to run for a seat in the U.S. senate of the state of Wisconsin. I have chosen to run for the seat as a republican. This was chosen even after looking at the present seat holders, who are both democrats. But with the big build up against the governor of this state. I believe that there will be a switch in the party control. For this reason I have chosen to run in the party I did. There will be many issues to this campaign for the current senator will not want to give up his position. Two of these positions will be gun control and affirmative action. These two will be the issue that I will stress in this campaign.

Gun control has been a big issue ever since the Columbine shootings. There has been a big push for gun control, such as three-day waiting period for a background check and mandatory safety trigger locks on all guns. I have taken a stand on this issue and it is that I am behind the three-day background check before every handgun sale. But the mandatory trigger locks are not to my belief an important solution. Mandatory trigger locks will increase the overall price of the gun as well as restricting the use of the gun as self-defense against an intruder in that person's hous

My message will help bring about trust between the voters and me. I will have only positive messages because negative commercials don't help the people to trust you. My campaign will be on the basis of trust. If the people can trust you to do the right thing in the right situation than you can a higher chance of being elected. The commercials will be the basis of the campaign because more people will watch the television on a Thursday night then will go to a public speech. The American people have learned that most of the information they need is on TV. I will go around to businesses in an effort to get them to back me. That is because most of my beliefs are based on the idea that a free economy is the best economy.

My staff will consist of three main groups, public appearance who will make commercials and posters, issue group who will make my ideas go smoother, and the third group will be the polling group who will study the polls and help me make my next move.

My campaign will be targeting the business owner and middle to upper management. This is because historically the republicans had great success with these voters. Another major group in the plan is farmers. They hold a key-swinging factor. They could go either way. The students of Wisconsin have the most to gain by a republican government by they are the future middle to upper management.

Affirmative action is a unjust system of administrating enrolment, scholarships, and job prospects. In affirmative action requirements are lowered for those who come from minority backgrounds. In the process of trying to help under privileged students get an education the system takes away from the students who deserve the right to go to school at that university. During this system a student who qualifies to go to school at a community collage would have a chance at
