The Save the Children's Foundation began in 1932 and was created by a women whose name was Eglantyne Jebb. Eglantyne became interested in this by first helping children and families in Europe who suffered from poverty after WWII. In 1923 Jebb wrote a document stating the five rights we owe to children which are as follows;
1. The child who is hungry must be fed; the child who is sick must be nursed; the Children mentally or physically handicapped must be helped; the maladjusted child must be recognized and the Orphan and the waif must be sheltered.
2. The Child must be the first to receive relief in times of distress.
