Comparison to the book Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Lew
In the book Dr. Jekyll, a respected scientist, turns to his work in the lab to help him better himself and to change into a better person to in turn help better the world. The same as in the movie Dr. Jacks, a perfume scientist, is going for the same thing. They are both looking to find a potion to take out the evil in man. Although, in both cases of the movie and the book, things do not go to plan. Dr. Jekyll and Dr. Jacks are both men who have came to a low point in life where they need to find something better for their life and better for the world. Dr. Jekyll in his laboratory works up a potion to take all the evil out of him so he and eventually the rest of the world will be able to live happier lives. The potion ends up taking all the evil out of him and transforming him into his alterego
Mr. Hyde. The same as in the movie Dr. Jacks is trying to create the same type of potion, but without success. He ends up inheriting some of his great uncle Jacks laboratory work, which is the book with all his work as a scientist in it. Dr. Jacks finds out that he and his great uncle were working on the same thing. So he takes his work and his uncles and mixes it into one potion, which turns him into his alterego Ms. Hyde. They both find that it did work in the sense that all the evil leaves them but it ends up changing their body into a different evil side of them, Mr. and Mrs. Hyde. They also both find out that the evil is taking over in both of them. The book and the movie have many similarities but they also have many differences. The main one being Dr. Jekyll turns into a man Mr. Hyde,
