A detailed Summary of Holocaust


Americans and officials engrossed in what was good for them and their country failed to see the great horror that Hitler and his killing machine created. Action was taken far too late to end the needless killing of Jews and other minorities and not until the facts were laid out in front were the machines deadly efficiency and cruelty understood.

From beginning to end, the ghetto to the mass grave, millions of Jews were overworked and tortured all because Hitler hated minorities, mainly Jews. The horror began when Jewish families and businesses were forced to write the word Jude on their stores and homes, forever ruining their business. Then the nazis proceeded past public humiliation to segregation into the ghetto, a section divided just for Jews. In this area families were crowded into homes of three or four groups to a house. But the road ahead was rougher. Once de-population of the ghetto began the families were broken apart forever. They were forced into loaded boxcars up to a week at a time and transported to the infamous concentration camps where further separatio


Reasons for the strict enforcement of such immigration laws were plain and simple but ethically wrong. Between 1933-1940 only 40% of the quota had been filled for immigrants from the Germany-Austria region. Competition for jobs in America was high and more labor wasn't needed. The popular vote even agreed that the democratic society didn't want the immigrants. But did they understand just what was going on and were they given all the facts. Upon review of the pictures alone, if they would have been available to the polltakers, then the outcomes might have been different. Economic competition was not something America wanted but the Jews didn't want death of their race.

From the onslaught Jewish families ran out of their country if possible, a very difficult task due to the nazi army and such unionism of the German race against Jews. Once escaped many families found haven in outlying countries eventually taken over by Germany and screened for Jews and minorities. The only real safe place during the first part of the holocaust would have been the U.S. but strict immigration laws disallowed any f
