Gary and his wife Linda are the proud parents of an eight year old daughter named Casey. Her birthday was last month and she was, excited about it, as most young people are. Her parents had planned her party for more than a week, the cake, the presents, right down to the Barbie napkins and pink silverware. The night before Casey’s big day a medium rain fell on her inner city San Angelo home. It was no big deal at first, however, until Gary walked out into his backyard to an overwhelming aroma of wet dog. He like many other San Angelo inner city residents fell victim to living next door to neighbors with an alarmingly large amount of canine companions. Casey’s day was ruined; her party was forced to be held indoors due to the consuming odor. Gary and Linda both decided to talk to their neighbors about the incident. The neighbors were sorry that the aroma upset the family but said there was nothing they could do about it. Well there is; 12 dogs with an average weight of 17 pounds each have no place in an inner city backyard.
