" A man's country is not a certain area of land, mountains, rivers, and woods but it is a principle, and patriotism is loyalty to that principle." I believe this quote from George William Curtis couldn't define patriotism any better. It gives me a great sense of pride knowing I am loyal to that principal, my country. Without patriotism, America wouldn't have achieved what it has today. Many nations don't understand the components of patriotism.

A big part of patriotism is helping others in your country. The United States showed this patriotism after the occurrences of September 11, 2001. Hundreds of people lined up to give blood for the injured. In our school, the Nati
