(Job 2, 8) These are the words spoken from the Lord to Satan about the great man named Job. Although he says that there was no one else in the world like Job, Job was still the one chosen to suffer. Job did not deserve this hardships, unlikne mankind, and did not have a need to repent. Job did not deserve any of the hardships and perils that were placed upon him. It seems that all that was done to him was for God to prove a point. For in his conversation with Satan, Satan proclaims " Is it for nothing that Job is God-fearing?...You have blessed the work of his hands...But now put forth your hand and touch anything that he has and surely h
Mankind deserves the same hardships that Job suffered, for the world would not know compassion without suffrage. Many of the citizens in today's world are not as upright and honest as they were back in Job's time. Because of this their punishments should be even worse than what Job experienced, if you were going by the Doctrine of Retribution.
Job did not really have a need to repent. He did not have anything to repent for, being as how he did nothing wrong. Even while he was suffering, he never talked against God. He said that God had given him everything that he had, so God had the right to take it away. He talked against himself, saying curse the day that he was born and that he should die.
