Italy

Italy is a country rich in agriculture, art, architecture, and especially food. The Italians are especially known for they're famous food.

Italy's absolute location is 45N and 15E.

The relative location is in Southern Europe on the Mediterranean Sea. It boarders France, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia. The Apennines Mountains are in the center of Italy's peninsula, while the Alps are on Italy's northern and northwestern border.

Some physical characteristics of Italy would be it's shape. It's shaped as a penninsula and goes out into the Mediterranean and Tyrrhenian Sea. it's climate is about 86 degrees in the summer and about 54 degrees in the winter, in Southern Italy. In northern Italy the climate is only slightly cooler then the rest of the country. The Northern receives more precipitation then the rest of the country too.

Some human characteristics would be the urban pollution. Because of all the automobiles in city areas, the pollution has lead to a health hazard and has damaged priceless architecture. Bologna an


Italy doesn't have too much natural resources because most of the land is mountains or really rugged land, not leaving much for growing. The most important things Italy trades is the natural gas, petroleum, zinc, and mercury to name a few of the mineral deposits. Since much of the land is a coastline, they have lots of fish to trade, especially trout, tuna, and eel.

Italy was a very interesting subject, I think it would be very exciting to go there one day to go and see all the art. Many of the most famous artists of today came from Italy, where they're paintings are now, like Monet, Michael Angelo, Picasso, just to name a few. There are famous statues like David, and the churches. They have the most amazing churches in the world, especially the catholic ones. The Pope lives there now too.
