When it comes to goods and services it seems as if we reside in a country overflowing with persuasive advertisements and diverse choices. This has a lot to do with monopolistic competition. Residents of monopolistically competitive regions find it hard to believe that there are locations where advertisements are almost non existent and choices are limited. Places like these lack monopolistic competition, but instead have almost pure competition. Let's take a closer look between the two very different market structures.
