During the 50s and the 60s television had a huge impact on Americans lives.timeAmericans relied strongly apond the T.V. this allowed American people as well as the rest of the world to see things and witness things without even being remotely close. Television took one of its first major steps in Texas where president John F Kennidy was assassinated in the mid 60s. And how the hole event had gotten captured on tape. This allowed for the hole assassination to role out and for people of the world to see what had happened. After president Kennidy died in the hospital L.B.J. took office. Soon after the United States of America went to war in Vietnam. The Television played a majore part during this war. Reporters and news crews would be conducting daily interviews with soldiers to show on T.V. back home in the United States to show and tell the American people that we were getting some were in Vietnam. But where the telivision played a much bigger role was when the news crews started to tape the body bags and woumded soldiers comeing back from battle to show to the

The Watergate affair this had to deal with president Nixon. A few members of Nixon's party went into the Watergate building one night to try to change and rige the ballet box in Nixons favor. Although that the ballets would had came out with Nixon on top of the race for realection Nixon wanted to be completely sure that no surprises would come up. So the two men break into the Watergate building and get caught red handed by a security guard that work there. The two men get taken to jail and out of no wear they got bailed out of jail. The press tied the bail money and the neb that brock into the building directly back to Nixons party. The media finds the money line and could identify it all the way back to the president. Congress could not prove anything at all that the president could be guilt and all of the sudden something leaked out about the president as well as past presidents kept records of who visited them as well as taped conversations that the indivisuales had in the presidents office.
