The kid and a horse fell into the water. The little blind child swung his arms around trying to save his life. The horse really had no chance trying to get out of the water and ended up floating down the river. The father stood there and watched as his son was going down the river. After a few moments, the father sprinted to catch up with his son. When he got as close as he could to where his son was he jumped into the river to save him. This was a scene from the movie "The Color of Paradise". The movie was in Farsi with English subtitles. The movie showed how different the rest of the world is compared to the United States of America. The movie has a strong impact on its audience with its open, twisted ending.

The movie tries to point out all the good aspects of the boy and all the bad points of the father. I believe his father learned a lot at the end, but you will have to make that judgment for yourself.
The movie impacted me in a few ways. One way it got me was from the shock of how rich Americans live compared to the way the director imposed the characters. For example, the movie explains how easy an American can get to their home from anywhere. Even if someone had to use a plane, taxi, boat, bus, or even rent a car, an American could get his child from the school and back home in less than a day. Another way it got me was the way you go about getting a wife. Mohammad's father tries to remarry another woman during the movie.
