Animal Farm by George Orwell is an exciting book that is a satire of the Russian Revolution. The animals Manor Farm kick out their owner, Mr. Jones, and rule the farm themselves. There are two leaders and this creates many problems.
At the beginning of the book all the animals are called to the farm house by the oldest pig, pigs are the smartest of all the animals. The pig is Old Major. He summons everyone to the farmhouse to discuss the revolution that will happen someday. Old Major says he doesn't know when it will happen but, that it will happen someday, even if it is in a hundred years.
Three days after telling everyone this Old Major dies. Most of the animals have already forgotten about what Old Major told them, because the animals are stupid. Then a few days later
Later the commandments become just, "four legs good, two legs bad." The commandments change because the animals are too stupid to remember all of them. But they had the commandments written on a wall. The animals also changed the name of the farm from Manor Farm to Animal Farm.

Now that the animals have the farm they have a new sense of pride. With this new pride the animals work very hard and produce a harvest larger than animal farm ever has seen before. Boxer the horse is a model worker for all the animals. Boxer lives by the motto, "I will work harder." The pigs do no manual labor; they just supervise and make plans.
