Macbeth
In a dead scene of Scotland three witches refer to a battle that is yet still future. Soon this becomes true though, in which Macbeth (Scottish general) is the hero. After the battle the traitor, Thane of Cawdor, is caught and sentenced. The king honors Macbeth with the title of the traitor, Macbeth doesn't know about this yet.
In a deserted place after the battle the witches meet Macbeth as they planned before hand. Banquo, who is with him, addresses the witches with evil eyes. Macbeth more interested doesn't say a lot. Ready to listen the witches greet him Thane of Glamis and give the prophecies that Macbeth will be the Thane Of Cawdor and the future King. They also prophesy that Banquo will get a line of Scottish kings, although Banquo will never be king himself. They both treated these prophecies skeptically until generals came up

In the battle Macbeth is strong but not strong enough, at the end Macduff tells Macbeth that he was "untimely ripped" from his mother's womb. Macbeth gets the shock but keeps fighting until Macduff beheads him and Malcolm becomes king of Scotland.
Scared of what might happen about Banquo, Macbeth hires a group of murderers to kill Banquo (his best friend). The man succeed to kill Banquo on his way to a royal feast, but they fail to kill his son, Fleance, who escapes into the night. Macbeth is scared because with Banquo son being alive his power is insecure. That night the ghost of Banquo visits him and he gets so scared he has to run to the witches to get another group of prophesies, the witches tells him that, he must beware of Macduff, he is incapable of being harmed by any man born of woman; and he will be safe until Birnam Wood comes to Dunsinane Castle. Macbeth feels very safe after these prophes
