I am going to tell everyone today a little bit about football. I am going to let you know about some of the positions, what the positions do, how to win football games.Every team's ultimate goal is to score points in order to win games. But you can't win games unless you stop the other team from scoring points, which brings me to talk about defense. You have to have a good defense. Without a good defense you simply can not win games. A defense consists of 3 major categories. A defensive line, linebackers, and a secondary. 1st) Your defensive line which is made up of 2 defensive tackles and 2 defensive ends have to be able to get penetration threw the other teams offensive line to get to their quarterback, in a passing situation. If the other team decides to run the ball then your defensive line is the first line of defense to stop the run. If your line can accomplish this then this does a few things: 1.) When you get penetration is makes the quarterback rush to maybe make a bad decision. 2.) It puts you in a better situation to stop a run play before it even starts. 2nd) Now you have your linebackers which is usually made up of 3 guys.
