It was 6 a clock, and I waited on the railroad tracks to board my train. With my pillow in one hand and my bag in the other, I walked up the steps into the train. It was my first time riding the train by myself. I was a little anxious of who I would have to sit next to. I got my seat number and prayed I wouldn't have to sit by anybody. I walked up the stairs to the seats, found my seat number, and sat down. Nobody was there yet; maybe I would be lucky enough to sit alone. I unzipped my bag and took out everything I needed to be comfortable, my shiny Silver Star pillow, my puppy dog stuff animal, and my CD player with one of my favorite CDs in it. The train finally started to move. It was official! I was sitting alone! I stretched out
into the seat next to me; it was good to have that extra little room to spread out. An anno
uncement came on over the intercom; they said they would be showing a movie in about 10 minutes. I plugged my headphones into the TV jack on my seat, and watched the movie. Everything was perfect! I was sitting alone, not bothered, and was watching a great movie, not to mention my Mom packed some candy for the trip. Half way through the movie, all the lights on the train went out, and so did the TV. At first I was confused, but when the train suddenly came to a sudden halt that almost threw me to the other side of the train, I knew something was wrong. Everybody had worry in their eyes as they looked around. I just sat quietly waiting for the conductor to come on the intercom and make an announcement. But he never did. We all sat confused and a little scared in an almost pitch dark train for about an hour and a half. Everybody
