Hamlet

Hate and revenge are an ongoing theme in the play Hamlet. All of the main characters show some type of hate in the play. Hamlets? hate for Claudius is the main focus during the entire play. There are lots of other characters that hate each other in the play, like Laertes hate for Hamlet at the end and the hate shared between Claudius and Hamlet. The main cause that triggered all of this hate and wanting of revenge came when the ghost of the dead king tolled Hamlet about his murderer. Once Hamlet discovers that Claudius is the one responsible for the death of his father, thoughts of revenge and feelings of hate overwhelm his mind. From then on the only care that he has is to avenge his fathers death. This then triggers a chain reaction of lies, betrayal, and deceit.

The thought of revenge on Claudius drives Hamlet crazy. He pushes people around him away and becomes a loner. Claudius notices the change in Hamlets behavior and immediately becomes suspicious of him. Claudius is then forced to become sneaky to try to uncover what it is that is making him act so weird. Claudius then goes around manipulating people around him to gain information and also to keep the truth hidden from Haml

When Laertes finds out about his fathers death it creates more feelings of hate and revenge, but this time towards Hamlet. Claudius and Laertes come up with a plan to kill Hamlet. They set up a sword fight between the Laertes and Hamlet. They sharpen the sword of Laertes and poison the tip so that he can kill Hamlet. Claudius also tries to poison Hamlet with a drink but accidentally kills his wife. During the fight Hamlet gets cut by the poisoned sword, which ends up killing him, but takes it from Laertes and cuts him, which kills him. Hamlet then forces Claudius to drink the poisoned drink and finally fulfills his revenge.

In the end because of hate and revenge everyone dies. Hate filled Hamlet and eventually killed him. Because of his father being killed it set of a chain reaction that eventually got back to everyone. Hamlets obsession with avenging his fathers death blinded him and eventually killed him and everyone around him.

When Hamlet puts on the play to try to see if the ghost was right about his uncle, he is being very deceitful. He acts as if the play is just an ordinary play, but it is really to try to see if his uncle is guilty of the murder of his father. When Claudius reacts to the play
