I have decided to do my research paper on the subject of euthanasia. Some people recognize euthanasia as physician assisted suicide. In order for me to write my research paper, I had to do a little digging to find the facts. I researched and came up with ten different sources full of information on my topic. The first piece of information I found was in the book called To Die Or Not To Die. To Die Or Not To Die, was edited by Arthur S. Berger and Joyce Berger. In this book, I found lots of information on cross-disciplinary views, cross-cultural views, and cross-legal views. In the cross-disciplinary views, the book talked about the perspectives of the patient, the perspectives from the Catholic and Jewish traditions, and ethical perspectives. Another interesting fact that I found online had to do with legalizing euthanasia. The Dutch Senate legalized euthanasia after eighty-six percent of the population was in favor of the law. I thought that this would definitely be a very important fact to have in my research paper. This information was found online at www.ABCNEWS.com. opinion on whether euthanasia is right or wrong, I will have to keep researching and figure that out for the ending on my research paper. The book basically discussed the medical, moral, and legal dilemmas of euthanasia. I thought this book would be a big help in writing my research paper because it had the history of euthanasia, and it also included many pros and cons on the subject.
