As I read the book Gingerbread by Rachel Cohn I noticed the main character is Cyd Charisse. Integrity I think is when you stand up for what you believe in. Integrity is someone who has good character, with all of the qualities like honesty, respect, just being a good role model basically. Cyd Charisse shows integrity in this book, and here is the problems she faced and how she dealt with them.
One of the problems Cyd faced was her and her mom do not I mean do not get along very well. When you first read Gingerbread you would think that Cyd isn't that very nice and does not show integrity at all. Even though she got pregnant at the age 16, but got an abortion! Also Cyd gets upset because her dad is telling everyone that lives in NYC that she is his neice. That makes her feel pretty sad and angry. Then half the trip she hangs out with Danny. And lisbeth hates Cyd and she hates Lisbeth. She handles this problem by avoiding Frank( her dad) and he you could say avoids her. He is always
