In today's times the popularity of the hip-hop culture immerses us, a black community, in Fashion, Culture and Language. Every where you turn some form of this empire is in your sights, It has its grips holding tight on to anyone whom it can entrances with it's melodic beats and flo-etic dialect. A breakthrough in an American cultural society, Rap music and the hip-hop culture has been tarnished because of misogynistic and sexist lyrics a select few of the genre inhibitors choose to use as their form of expression. This blatant use of the "nasties" is what puts rappers such as Eminem, Snoop Dogg, 2Live Crew, And 2 Pac among others in the rap game. Typically, gangsta rappers use sexist and misogynistic lyrics for three reasons. First, they are selfish and seek to empower only themselves. Second, they put business before art: Songs with misogynistic lyrics sell millions of CDs and tapes. Sales mean money. Money means power. Finally, gangsta rappers reinterpret their experiences into a package able product that can sell.
