Many people confused, lonely, and depressed in life, which causes them to commit suicide. “The Center of Attention” by Daniel Hoffman and “My Sad Self” by Allen Ginsberg, are two poems, which have many similarities and a few differences. Firstly, the theme of loneliness is presented in both these poems. Moreover, there is some form or indication of suicide and hope or well being, presented by the two characters in these poems. Furthermore, the character in “The Center of Attention” has people focused on him and the character in “My Sad Self” focuses on the other people.
