Most parents desire their children grow up in best society environment and they should become successful in society. That really is the parents concern but sometimes that interfere in their children privacy. Almost Asian parental do not give their children independent at all and the children could not decide the life themselves. How many time have you argue to your parents when they interfere to your privacy ? This rush to develop the relationship between the parents and their children in two difference cultures. In Hwang's point is any immigrant have struggle between two culture. It 's not happen in Hwang family only. It almost happen in other immigrant who live in The United States.
In Caroline Hwang essay :''THE GOOD DAUGHTERaE? (15) she wrote about struggle between two generation. First generation is her parents and second one is herself. She and her parents have some conflict thought. First ,She went to school for PH.D in English literature but her parents want her go to law school. Second, her parents just expect her to marry someone Korean and give them grandchildren who look like Korean. Third , Hwang expressed her own feeling

The commonly struggle in Asian immigrant is their children marriage. Asian parental just want their children get marry which people from same country. They don't want their grandchildren all American . They prevented their children from Americanization. Hwang parents worried her children should not speak Korean, forget Korean cultural . In Hwang case , she said :aE? my parent did not want their daughter to be Korean but they don't want her fully American, either.'' (17) For example : my nephew have fall in love with a American girl ,in someday he asked my aunt for marry permit but his parents did not accept it. Then they requested him just date people who came form Vietnam only. They give him two choices: that girl or the parents . he need to pick one of those .Finally, he break up that girl then live in family. He love my aunt, he does not live far away family. I really don't know why almost Asian parents do that. They interfered to their children's marriage . Do they thinks if they do that their children's life should be better! In Hwang case, my nephew case have the same point that is the parents do not want their children get marry who people without speak Korean nor Vietnamese, either. The important factor is difference culture, difference custom traditional. They affair their children forget their original language and Americanization .
