The main goal of the program is to return rehabilitated animals to the wild. The program allows Sea World to rescue, treat, shelter, and release stranded animals.

During this year 68 marine mammals were rescued and 62% of the rescued mammals survived. 86% of the surviving marine mammals were released back into the wild.(Dierauf)

30% to 40% below their normal weight.(Rehab) Some animals are tube fed nutrients in a liquid form in order to correct this problem, while others will eat their own.
