Beowulf
The story of Beowulf starts out very gruesome and bloody. Before we hear aboutall of the disaster these mengo through, we read about a moster who terrorizes the Danes Grendel was conceived by a pair of those monsters born of Cain. The creatures were banished by God forever for the crime of Abel's death. They were shut away from men into many forms of evil such as monsters, giants, fiends, and goblins and defeated many times. Grendel lives in darkness on a mountain lake and doesnt like being disturbed. Grendel haunted the moors and the men who rejoiced in the Herot or Mead hall. The Herot was a central gathering where the warriors could feast, listen to stories told by the great bards, and sleep quietly and very safely. After a big night of drinking, partying, and singing sonds of the ancient beginnings in the Herot, Grendel entered very slowly and silently and took up thirty men and smashed them
