Involving a young Spanish lady named Jig, and an older gentleman, that remains nameless. This conversation begins with the description of their location, within the train station, in the middle of the desert, and no trees in sight. The story advances with the conversational dialogue between the couple. What seems to be a mere debate, but has a much deeper surface. Jig and her boyfriend, discuss her decision to move forward with an abortion. As the conversation continues, Jig becomes even more upset, as her boyfriend persistently tries to convince her, everything will be all right. During their talk, Jig begins to describe the land in which surrounds them. She speaks of the land, and it’s features, while secretly describing herself. Jig enlightens that the hills are covered with trees and grains, in which both she and the gentleman could have. In the same breath, Jig indicates the hills appeared as white elephants.
