The problem of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs became one of the main in our society. In 2000, 47 percent or 104 million people of Americans aged 12 or older indicated that they had used alcohol during the month prior to the survey. Beside the saddest statistic is that in 1999, 15,786 persons died in the United States in alcohol-related crashes. That is one death every 33 minutes. More than 300,000 people were injured in alcohol-related crashes. But why? Lets look closer at this problem.
