Our freedoms as Americans are restricted by the amount of taxes that we have to pay. We basically have to pay for our freedom. If America was totally free this would never happen. By paying taxes we have a great defense system, with the army, navy, and marines. So in a way they are protecting our freedom. Post 9-11 everything changed. It seems that if anyone dares to I want to blow up something because they are mad (as in a saying). If anyone over hears them law enforcement agencies come and there is this big ordeal. Before 9-11 that would of never been the case. People would have just shrugged it off as someone having a bad day. Another example is in Video Games. In Grand Theft Auto III a life of a hit man is played out. As you go through to the third and final bored he is able to fly a small airplane. Before 9-11 this would be ok for a video game not now. The makers of the game had to take it off the shelves and redo most of the game so there is not as much killing, robbing or flying the planes into buildings.
