?To what extent was Germany responsible for the outbreak of World War I?World War I, the war that was to end all wars, was a deadly misunderstanding that lasted from 1914 to 1918. This military conflict claimed millions of lives from 32 different nations, made a new mark in World history and shaped the people we are today. It is fundamental to identify a main cause of the war because all the European nations were impacted and suffered economic, social and political lost, and yet, a precise cause is still unknown. In the course of world history, the damage and change resulted from World War I is far more significant than others such as World War II or the Cold War. It was true that the assassination of the heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Archduke Francis Ferdinand, sparked the war, however, it wasn’t the root of the war. It was very difficult to identify the origin of the “Great War?because it was much more complex; unlike World War II, no megalomaniacs, such as Hitler or Mussolini, were involved. Many historians today still argue whether or not Germany was solely responsible for the war.
