Football Staduim

Excitement, adrenaline, fans, perfectly manicured turf, these are all things that come to mind when thinking about a football stadium. One of the most impressive football stadiums I have ever been to is, "Old Trafford." The first time I went there I was overwhelmed by the size, and beauty of it massive structure. It stands 422 feet high and can seat 60,000 roaring fans. Have you ever been in a football stadium? Have you ever been a fan of a football team? If you have you will know what I am talking about.

The first thing I noticed when entering the stadium were the fans. There were so many of them, most of them were wearing the black, and white uniforms of Newcastle United. It was so beautiful how they all looked the same. There was excitement and anticipation in the air as the thousands of fans started singing, and chanting for the teams. The noise kept getting louder and louder as other fans arrived and joined in. There were thousands of fans, cramming their way into every available seat. The seats were made of cold, hard plastic, and painted black and white. They were really uncomf

Light coming from the gigantic floodlights was blinding, it shone down on the field, and made everything look so bright, and dazzling. The lights were set on massive metallic structures, which held them high above the stadium; they could be seen from miles as they lit up the night sky. Below the set of lights on the North side of the stadium was a scoreboard. It was magnificently lit up; it showed the names of both teams in big white letters. The letters must have been at least a meter tall as you could see them from all the way across the stadium. Underneath the scoreboard was an enormous screen, which showed the team's line-ups, and highlights from other games.

As the game begins the stadium turns into a war zone, the two teams on the field fight a battle where there would only be one winner. The crowd turns from an excited group into a wild mob of booing, hissing, and name-calling; they are fighting their own battle, a battle against the opponent's team, and the referee's calls. The referee, a powerful little man, runs after the ball, blowing his loud whistle at every little slide and tackle
