Students today have great responsibility and pressure in today?s world to deal with school, work, home and personal life. Though most teachers do not seem to realize, or care, about anything other than their own class work. A lot of teachers believe students should have no problem doing all their homework, as well as the homework for six other classes, house work, a paying job, and a social life. Some may say, ?Perhaps you should quit your job and concentrate more on your academics?. For my two brothers and me, as well as most of my fellow students at Brookville High School, work is a must.
Some kids have parents who have the money where they can buy their kids a car and pay for their child's college. Unfortunately most kids do not. The situation for me and my
siblings are as such. We have seven classes at school, a job, and chores around the house, as well as the need for even a minute social life. My daily schedule is to wake up at seven o?clock in the morning, have school until 2:30, do chores around the house, laundry, clean my room etc., until four or so, and have work until ten or eleven at night.
Now the only time to do homework is the thirty minute space that is available between housework and my job and after work, which I am generally too tired to do my best. Lets say I have thirty minutes of homework in each class; that is three and a half hours every night. Of course, a student doesn?t really need a job right? Wrong.
