The term natural selection was discovered by Charles Darwin in his search for the way in which life and is processes evolved. The result of his studies has caused much debate throughout science. The concept created by Darwin is the theory of evolution, the lasting change among biological society and that of natural selection. Natural selection is the process in which the strong genetic traits of a species evolve with future generations and that the weaker traits of that same species are left behind and bear no consequence on the future. This is nature's way of evolving a species to ensure its survival. Natural selection occurs in this way, a species produces young, more that what is necessary for its habitat, as time passes the weaker of the species die and the remaining ones with the stronger genetics survive and are able to reproduce with greater chances of survival. The strength of a species is a trait that was evolved over time and enables that species to reproduce thus passing its genetics to future generations.
The concept of natural selection is different from that of intelligent design. Intelligent design is the idea that life evolves supernaturally, or by a force un
The possibility of ulterior motives being present in the beliefs of both scientists and advocate of intelligent design is certainly a prominent question. Each party has invested much effort and time into seeing their beliefs and hard work come to fruition. The motives of scientists to destroy religious faiths or for intelligent design advocates to establish a government religion is certainly probable. Throughout time there have always been proponents that have wanted their beliefs to become the universal thought, it is not the same concept here. Each party wants to provide their understanding and hopefully supply enough information to encourage possibility that the theory of evolution might not be completely correct. The possibility for these motives to exist is correct, for these motives being the main reason in their beliefs is not.
Many people are resistant to the idea of natural selection. Although many cannot support the concepts behind evolution or even describe how those concepts arrived at this point, they are hesitant to support anything that might change their preset belief in evolution. People are structured in their beliefs on this topic. Many are taught that from a neutral point of view, everything has a scientific point and everything can be proven. Accepting the concept of natural selection will question not only science but it will become a question of faith. Everyone has their own perspective on how life evolves, some prefer a scientific standpoint and some prefer the standpoint that life was created from some supernatural being casting doubt on either side will have lasting
