My views on God VS Jonathan Edwards' views on God

A detailed Summary of My views on God VS Jonathan Edwards' views on God

My thoughts on God vary from day to day. I guess my views on the subject change with my mood. When I'm in a good mood and everything is going well, I tend to think there is an existence of a higher power. There are days, though, when it seems like the whole world is against me; and these are the days that I wonder about the existence of a higher power. When I read Jonathan Edwards' sermon, I was a bit shocked that anyone could have such extremist views. His thoughts on God and mine vary considerably. I agree with a few things he said, but for the most part, I disagreed with his point of views.

He's the one that created us. If we're abominable, then so is He, because we were supposedly created in His image.

Jonathan also says we have offended God infinitely. I don't agree with this, either. He loves everyone, right? I would think so. This goes back to God not holding grudges on us. He tells the sinners to be wary of the fiery pits of Hell. Is it not believed in the Christian faith that all humans are sinners? Does that mean we're all damned to Hell?
