Cloning
A detailed Summary of Cloning
The very controversial issue of cloning has been argued over for years. Cloning is a relatively new process to further life. Already scientist's over-seas have created a sheep named Dolly. It took 277 times till they got the sheep to come out with no abnormalities. Many people believe that cloning would be a great thing to have in society, but there is another side to this issue that many people believe in. Cloning is bad because of its lack of genetic diversity, it also goes against religious and moral standards.
The biggest problem with the use of cloning on a large scale is the decline of genetic diversity. Think about it, if everyone has the same genetic material what happens if we lose the ability to clone. We would have to resort to natural reproduction, causing us to inbreed which would cause many problems. Also if a population of organisms has the same genetic information, then one disease could wipe out the entire population. The decline of genetic diversi

Other arguments for cloning include the religious end of things. People question when we will draw the line for getting involved in natural events. Religious organizations consider nuclear transfer to cause men to be reproductively obsolete. This claim was deduced by gathering of the information that cloning requires any cell and a woman to develop in. They also claim that cloning does not respect the fact that humans have souls. Religious organizations also consider cloning unnatural, and say we are taking the work of God into our own hands. The bible states that there shall be only one creator, God.
After reading about this issue I have come to my own opinion. I don't think that the fact that we will loose genetic diversity is really that big of a deal yet. We would have to be cloning on a very large scale to reach a problem like that. If it is let go it would reach a problem this big. When looking at it religiously, I think that it is wrong. The fact that we
