Nurses wanted... Nurses Needed... When on a search engine looking for jobs or careers, sadly that is what pops up most often. "In 1996, there were almost 2 million nurses employed in the United States making this field the largest of all healthcare occupations" (Cosgrove 370). However, now in the year 2001 we are on a shortage of nurses. From once being the largest of all healthcare occupations to being the most needed, this is what help inspire me to pursue a career in nursing.
