When Confucius first wrote his teachings they were little respected and less practiced by men of his day. As time went on, Confucianism finally became the official creed of the nation and the Classics became the sole study of scholars and statesmen. Confucianism quickly became prevalent in several countries. Confucius believed that the true ruler was not formed because of his birth or social position, but by the power of ones vision. He did not believe that just because you were born into a ruling family
