Stem cells are probably the most controversial item in science today. So much potential is surrounded by a cloud of controversy. Stem cells are an extremely rare type of cell that can be turned into any type of cell be it a brain cell, bone cell, tissue cell, the possibilities are endless.

The Majority of stem cells come from embryos in fertilization clinics. One of the many arguments against stem cell research is because of this. When you extract stem cells from an embryo the embryo is killed and no longer functional. Many people argue that the embryo is living and stem cell extract
