Image you have just graduated high school and it is time to decide what to do next. Would you rather spend the first early part of your twenties going to college or start a family? Everyone has their own opinions on what they find important in life. I feel that college is extremely important and that everyone should at least attempt to get a degree. Others may feel that it is important to work or start a family right away. I feel that college is an important factor in life.
One reason I feel that college is important is because it help us make a better life for ourselves. By going to college, we are able to learn about things that interest us, rather than learning what our high school or state guidelines require us to learn. After we obtain our degree, we are then able to get a job in that field, and make a better income. I personally do not feel that it would be easy making a living off of minimum wage. In today's world today, it is almost required to have a degree to get a "good" paying job
Others may feel that responsibility comes with growing up and that college is not necessary to accomplish this trait in life. People may feel that they can obtain responsibility by working full time, living on their own, and starting a family.
For some people, it is not important to make new friends or to have a different surrounding. They are comfortable with what they are, and what they are becoming. I feel many people do not go to college because they don't want to change their lives. People get nervous when they have to change things that they are use to doing or having most of their lives. Moving away from your family is something that is hard to do it a first, and the first few weeks are tough. But eventually it gets a little easier.
The last reason I feel that college is important is that it gives people a chance to obtain new life experiences. If we went through life living in the same town and hanging out with the same friends, we would eventually get sick of it. It is important to have changes in our live
