Throughout his career, Czechoslovakian--born film maker Milos Forman has combined aunique style of European cinema with the excellence and prestige of American themes. Forman is one of the few film makers who has consistently produce films with artistic appeal. Forman possesses an elegant way of displaying his ability to produce masterpieces in each of his movies. He has won numerous awards, sixteen to be exact, including Best Director for his superiority and genius in producing films for such movies as One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s nest, The People Vs. Born in 1932 during the depressing time of World War II, this Jewish film director lost both of his parents in the Nazi concentration camps. In the early 1950’s, Forman enrolled in a film school where he began to form into an individual with a unique ability of producing films. After graduating in 1955, Forman’s early career started off with documentaries and brief films. He then produced his first feature film in 1963, Black Peter, and consequently won the Czechoslovak Film Critic Award for Best Picture.
