College Football Vs. Professional Football

With the highly publicized and nationally endorsed N.F.L. in the glorifying spot light, we begin to loose site of the true essence of football. Football is about a teams love and dedication for the game, not some multimillion dollar corporate sellout throwing a ball because he has a Lamborghini payment to make. The true essence of the game can be found only where there is neither money nor fame. The true essence of football can be isolated back to a time span we all go through. We call this period of time College. College football is closer to what football should be about and more entertaining then professional football.

Sadly, one of the largest margins between the two levels of game play is the caliber of effort each player puts forth. This bond that grows between players and spectators helps to develop loyal and dedicated fans that will watch a game and live vicariously through the players.

Professionals, on the other hand, can not work their bodies to the extreme of a college player. This is because professionals have to think about their careers, and how an injury could cost them money. Professional ballplayers take their career into consideration when making any decision on the playing field. Instead of taking a dive for an extra yard or two, a player might run out of bounds to avoid a possible dog pile. It is decision making like this that makes professional football less interesting and appear dull.

allplayers around the nation, it is no surprise the quantity and quality of effort they put forth dwarfs the efforts of professionals. Watching a
