Macbeth essay

Shakespeare's Macbeth it showed how noble and kind man was corrupted by greed and power. This was pretty much the morale of the whole play. The play was used as a demonstration of how good people can be corrupted by power. It is shown that it's just human nature to want more power.

The play started off as Macbeth being a great and noble man. He started off as a war hero and the Thane of Glamis. During the war everybody respected Macbeth because he was a good man. It could be seen when everybody elects Macbeth to be the Thane of Cawdor. Another good example of how he was a good man was how he had such a good friend like Banquo that would've given his life for Macbeth. These scenes showed how he was a good man but then the witches told him about his future.

The witches told Macbeth that he was the Thane of Glamis soon to become the Thane of Cawdor. After he was Thane of Cawdor the witches saw that he would become king and that Banquo and his children will

When Macbeth returns home from the war they plan for King Duncan's murder. This is how Macbeth has been corrupted by power. He is thinking of being king so much that he would do almost anything to get it. His wife is also pushing him to do this since women in the medieval had no rights, and by becoming queen she'll have more rights. This is where he fights killing the king. He struggles when he hallucinates of a dagger in front of his eyes. Macbeth is struggling with himself because he is a good man but is being corrupted with the want of power. Lady Macbeth then eventually pushes him to the side of evil and insults Macbeth into killing the king. At this point he has stepped to the point of no return.

The conclusion is that it's just human nature to want power. Macbeth a good and noble man to become greedy and want power was not just him but his human side. His human side told him to want more power so he did whatever it took to get it. He never looked back to regret it until
