"Yellow Roses" In "A Rose for Emily" by William Faulkner and "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the two main characters of these stories display behavior that some readers may consider "crazy". It drives her to the point where she totally secludes herself from her community.
