Everyone has his or her own reason for going to the mall. Most people take for granted why they go to the mall and don't really think about why others go to the mall. Most people assume that everyone goes to the mall to buy, but that's not true. I know first hand that not everyone goes to the mall to buy something. I only have to look at my family and I can see that different people have different reasons for going to the mall.
Most people do go to the mall to buy things, however sometimes one doesn't have money to buy anything so they settle for window-shopping. This seems like a favorite pass time for people, especially teenagers. My sister, a 16-year-old teenybopper, is a great example of this. Like most teenagers she prefers to go to the mall with her friends. She, along with her friends, loves going to the mall to window-shop or "hangout" as they call it. Like many visitors, my family and I have different reasons for going to the mall. Because of this my mom and my sister go to the mall together because they spend much more time than I can handle at the mall, however there are times when all three of us go to the mall together. This gives us a chance to spend some time together and also gives us a chance to enjoy the different things we each like about the mall together.
I on the other hand am not like my mom or my sister; I am not an avid shopper. Unlike them I don't enjoy shopping very much. Instead of going to the mall to shop and add to the commotion of the mall life of shopping, I go to the mall to get away from everything. The mall is a place that I go to, to find peace and quiet from the everyday drama of family life.
