The Alchemist

This story went through so many phases and stages. Some of them really touched me, others I didn't even bothered to go over them again, but in the other hand few phrases stopped me, forced me to analyze my personality and some of them I really believed in. In my opinion, people who really want to find their destines, or people who can't find the right track back to their beliefs, or lost hope in their dreams they once had them and believed in them, they should read this story. Santiago was a boy who made his dream come true. Eventhough, every time he gets closer to his dream life gets harder and harder on him. He met people he never thought he would ever expose to. He traveled through the fields when he had his flock of sheep, then he went through the enormous desert that stabbed his heart with the greatest experience ever. Then the oasis was another place he have been too, it was where he found love for the first time, found the language of the world. It was where he became the wind, talked to the sun and saw god. For such young boy like Santiago, the whole experience was another life that he lived for more than two years. The omens were basic elements that played important and fatal role through his journey.

The young boy asked :{ why do we listen to our hearts?}, then the alchemist answered :{ because wherever your heart is, that is where you will find your treasure} p.g, 135.our hearts speaks the language of this world which is love. The boy knew love once he saw Fatima's eyes. Love is not necessarily to be between man and a woman. It also can be between a person and this universe. We love Mother Nature there for we are trying our best to protect it. Love is the greatest word in this world. No one can observe the meaning of love. Our hearts speak it because god taught them to understand this language. Some times we run from our hearts, some other times we ignore its beats, but what are the consequences? The mind is a strong element too. The heart is the king of the man, once it stops beating then no need for the person to breath. Without love how harmony, peace and honesty find their way to a healthy world. Why can't we look around us? If each and everyone in this world listens to his/her heart this world would be a better place for every one of us. It is true that if we listen to our hearts we will be where our treasure is. Every one of us has a treasure hidden somewhere I believe. It mustn't be an objective all the time because it could also be something we need to feel more. I think to listen to our hearts needs courage because hearts always say the truth and basically we all no matter how strong we are. We hate to listen to the truth sometimes. Simply, we are humans.

The desert taught the boy how to be strong, anticipate and believe in destiny. Whereas, the oasis taught him not to give up on his faith and dream even if that will interrupt the love he shares with the woman of the desert. This is why we should all listen to what the universe is telling us. The falcon fight was an omen of a war that is going to be held. We should all look closely to everything around us. Maybe god is somewhere near one of us asking us to search within our souls for our dream. What touched me the most in this story is how the boy trusted the universe? when I read the book I realized that if I learned to read the omens, transelate my dreams follow them and trust the universe by knowing the language that helps me communicate with it, then I will have the treasure I have been looking for, which is peace of mine, a soul that is eased and happiness that will never going to fade away. Santiago was a strong boy not lucky, he just worked hard to learn and teach in the same time. He was about to die if he didn't talk to the wind. He never knew how to do because he never been an alchemist. Once, he believed is himself he did it. In this part a human mind can't ever believe that because it won't make much sense. But, to me I believe I can be close to my destiny if I worked enough to reach this aim. M
