Communication is an aspect of life that cannot be avoided. It always appears in our every social interaction. The two main categories of communication are verbal and nonverbal. Nonverbal communication is defined as creating meaning with body language and the way a word is offered. In other words, not what you say but how you say it. Nonverbal communication is essential in order for an individual to decode your message. It is practically unfeasible to communicate without some non-word symbols. Brandon was leaning forward in order to maintain the personal distance. On the contrary I was leaning back almost trying to go to a social distance. The second type of proxemics was territorality. This is the area a person defines as theirs. In the interview our territorality was the chair we sat in.
For nonverbal communication there are eight major forms. The interview displayed seven of the eight forms. Although Brandon and I didn't seem to enthusiastic about the interview we both tried to stay as interested as possible. Brandon communicated this by his constant nodding.
