Is Alcohol Being the Only Thing Sold Here?
As I flipped through the pages of the latest Cosmopolitan Magazine I came across an ad that really ca ugh t my eye. It was of a model staring straight into the camera in a very seductive, inviting pose. Her wavy hair is being blown back and her face is slightly tilted. One shoulder is lower than the other and she is delicately holding a martini glass full of an orange mixed drink. She is wearing a classy button down blue collard shirt enamored with rhinestones. The shirt is unbuttoned just so far that her red bra is peeking through, her shirt is also tied up and slightly wrinkled to show a small amount of her stomach. It is dark all around her except the moonlight which is coming from behind her and highlighting the backside of her hair. The captions in the ad are not directly selling the product as a drink, but also the effects the drink has and the image it will give the drinker. This ad is for an alcoholic drink named Alize which is selling to women who want to appear more provocative. The model is luring the viewers of the ad to come and join her with her facial expression, clothing, and pose. This ad is playing off the fact that every woman wants to appear strong yet sexy
had just thrown it on in a great rush which alludes to the she is a special person particularly because she is holding bad girl side to her that she isn?t afraid to hide. She is strength, possibly it may be what is known as liquid clearly not embarrassed that her red bra is showing strength and playing off woman?s insecurities regarding in bold refers to the classy side of her such as her blue glass that if the glass was taken away she looks as if she is the same with the classy shirt and sexy bra.
